I can't believe its all over. No more waiting for more books. None. I was at the bookstore the second it opened this morning. I know what happens to Harry Potter. And a very large part of me wishes I didn't, because then there'd be more theories, more books. But there isn't. That epilogue was the final chapter of a legacy in my childhood.

It'll never be over, as I know I'll reread the books, again and again, finding the clues and laughing. I did it a bit in this book, I noticed some cleverly placed clues. Maybe when I reread, no certainly, I will find more. But it's never going to be the same as the first time reading, not knowing what was going to happen. I wish I could start the day over and reread without any memory of the story. The tears and satisfaction of discovery are gone. And I still cry when Sirius dies. I hope that the 7th book retains its charge. More than anything.

Farewell, Harry. I'll miss waiting for your newest adventure, and thank you J. K. Rowling, for a most subtle, entertaining, and often humorous story. I tip my hat to the woman who convinced millions it was worthwhile to read.

~Nostalgia

EDIT: I'm sorry el! I tried to keep spoilers out...*looks* No, I totally don't see any, but beware, I guess?

I am slowly dying. Every inch of my legs are falling apart. I've been having problems with a ligament connecting my big toe to my foot. I finally get it under control when my knee literally dies. I can't even walk without sharp pain and I'm doing all this ridiculous stuff to get it under control. :(

Apparently though, I hold a school record Oo. I wasn't even aware of this.

The ad next to this entry is distracting me. Harry Potter. AAAAAAAAA. One day left. Can't wait. Any connections to the rumor mill tell me that Daniel Radcliff's going to Princeton. Now, I may not love his acting, but he's going to be 15 minutes away if thats true. It's weirder than holding a school record. I hope he likes that little Wawa. It had a lot of tasty food...ooooh....foood...

Thanks to you and your stupid system, I, Meredith Mayes, am getting a B, because I cannot pay attention to a damn word that comes out of your mouth, with every word being annoyingly pitched and high. Maybe if I had learned anything I would pass that stupid listening section, maybe if you properly edited my paper I would get a 25/25 like everyone else in the class, with their horrific accents and English interjections. MAYBE IF THE CLASS WAS F***ING INTERESTING I WOULDN'T WANT TO SLEEP ALL THE TIME. And last, if you would point the fans at our side of the room at least once this year? It'd be nice, actually. Why do the same assholes always get it, like Andrew Robbins, the little shitface who makes my blood boil almost as much as walking into your class of hell?

And if this was a yearbook entry, all it would say is "You were such a great teacher! No problems so far, right? Well, factor in a dead baby and a broken bicycle and the dream starts to weird me out. And that's the strangest part-I feel weird. I can watch the dream with the concious part of my mind, and then sort of change the dream, by nudging the subconcious. But the dream just got worse not better. It was overall, very strange.

I've known for a while that there seems to be two parts in my head, one that's unusually mean, and the other that denies that part and is unwholesomely happy and bright. I don't know, it seems like last night they clashed.I've yet to see which side "won" But hopefully, if it was the bitch inside, it'll be subdued once more.

It sounds like a good short story. *files* Maybe I'll send it in for one of those scholarship short stories.

My friend is throwing a singles-only Valentines party. I want to go, but several things are *eh* about it.

1. She's not single. -_- I don't know WHY this irritates me as much as it does, but it happened on Monday. She asked me what she was supposed to do, say no and wait until after the party? I told her yes. But the guy she's going out with doesn't get it, I guess. I only think that if a guy can't understand a "singles" party, knows you're going to say yes, why he can't wait TWO DAYS to ask. I mean, it shouldn't irritate me at all but it DOES. Second, they're holding it tomorrow because of the snow today so they can show the school how "emo" they are. I know its a joke, but was it that necessary for everyone to know? I know I'm going to wear like, black sweatpants, but that's because I'm lazy. It's just sort of rubbing me the wrong way, and I told her I'd go, but after today I kind of don't want to.

Spanish: another 90. It's a very popular grade you know. Drivers Ed: 98. I can officially go for my permit now. PHEAR ME. No, really. If you see me driving, run. And Chem...101. More on THAT later.

Yeah, I tried studying this year. I think I see an improvement from all the B's last year. And in practice, we only did two miles *dance of joy* Only FOUR, count them FOUR, 800's. It was amazing.

The Bad: Well, we're behind curriculum and we have to read the Grapes of Wrath. Hold me! Save me! Then in Computer Tech, my teacher was all like "Will someone help me and deliver this to Mr. Cordasco?" No one would, and then I felt so bad that I HAD to. And what did I get? Not even a Thank You or Goodbye from Mr. C. In fact, all I got was basically yelled at for not knowing what was in the freaking box. -_- History we didn't get our grades, and finally, Chem. Which I had been dreading all day, because I am now officially the class "curve killer." I just want you all to know its really scary to be yelled at by all these kids who are bigger than you because you did so well they only got a 3 point curve instead of 10 or 12. And it was my first time having a rumor spread about me. Granted, it was a good rumor, but still, its really weird to have FRESHMAN come up and ask if you were the only one in the grade to get a 98 on the chem exam BEFORE the curve. It was quite embarrasing. I know its good-but its really awkward when it seems half the school knows a private grade.

The Ugly: Yesterday in the middle of my [chem] exam, I got my period. That was immensely uncomfortable, let me tell you.

Er yeah. Fin.

Ugh. I hate being sick. I really, really do. My head's been plugged up for the past week, and my ears have been so strange. My nose has swollen shut in one of my nostrils to the point where I can't blow it. And I had to run in a meet. Thankfully, I got pulled out of the 3200 when our 1200 runner for the DMR bailed and I got to run it, but my mile made me want to cry. It wasn't a bad time-6:04- but I've never done that badly for at least a year. And I guess I should be happy I finished, but I can't help being disappointed in myself.

Alright, so I fell (way) behind on my updates for the His Dark Materials Triliogy being filmed-and for a while I assumed they weren't going to do it. It was scheduled to start filming after Lord of the Rings, if that gives you any clue as to WHEN I last checked on it-probably five or four years ago. I figured they weren't going to go through with it.

But it's supposedly going to be really good-The actress reminds me a lot of Lyra, and apparently, Pullman said she does justice to the part. I really hope he's not selling us short-he doesn't seem like the type to let his books be made into terrible movies. After all, he's not going to let his masterpieces get ripped apart in the rush to get the scripts done, movie out, etc.. *coughjkrcough*

So far two deviations, one minor, one somewhat major. The religious undertones are going to be toned down a bit, which I don't know if I'm happy about-that was one of the main points of the books, but if it turns out as a good piece of cinematography and is not lacking in deviations from the PLOT, I think I'll be okay. Also, they're complaining that Mrs. Coulter's hair is blonde, not black, but I've always imagined her as a blonde anyways, so I'm cool with that.

So, December 7, 2007 is way too far away, but I'm just excited that they're making the damn thing, and that it's supposed to be accurate.
